FGR: Fat Girls Rule!

Fat Girls Rule! originally started out several years ago as a joke between 2 sisters: Carol (a.k.a. "Fatty McGee") and Stacie (a.k.a. "Bertha BigButt"). After she lost yet another singing competition because the judge said she was "too fat", Carol finally had enough. But, instead of anger, she used humor as her weapon. It wasn't long before both she and Stacie were spreading the message that fat girls rule which led to many jokes about it and eventually the creation of this website.

The philosophy of both Carol and Stacie is simple: if they didn't care that they were fat, why should anyone else? They were tired of people looking past them and judging who they were based solely on their appearances. Their twisted sense of humor didn't hurt things either but the bottom line was that they loved and accepted themselves (and each other) unconditionally. And anyone in their lives could either do the same or take a hike.

So, what started out as a joke between 2 sisters eventually led to the "Fat Girls Rule!" website which first appeared on the internet in late 1998. Although it's gone through many transformations since its debut, the message has always been the same: it's not what you look like, it's what's inside that counts. Carol

Carol (a.k.a. "Fatty McGee") is a full-time Mom to 2 beautiful children and professional singer. In addition to providing the FGR site with humorous material, she's the one responsible for answering all the "Dear Fatty" letters. She currently lives on a Navy base in Japan with her husband and 2 children.

Stacie

Stacie (a.k.a. "Bertha BigButt") is a freelance web designer, graphic artist and writer. In addition to writing the code for the site and designing the merchandise, she's the one responsible for the "How Much Of A Fat Girl Are You?" Quiz. She currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her boyfriend and 5 cats.
