FGR: Fat Girls Rule!

June 4, 2007: So it appears we've been gone for over a year but have no fear for we have returned. Stay tuned for site updates - if you want to help us out by all means please contact us and volunteer!

March 29, 2005: Finally, after a month of work, the new website is complete. There are several new columns including "Bertha Speaks", "Healthy Eating", "Get Active" and "Diary Of A Happy Fat Girl" and the "How Much Of A Fat Girl Are You?" quiz has been completely re-done. We've also added two new members to our team: Lindsey is writing articles for us as well as moderating our LiveJournal community and Amy is also doing some writing for us. We're still looking for volunteers so if you've got some time and would like to help us, please let us know.

March 17, 2005: We're keeping busy these days redesigning this website so it's easier to navigate and a little easier on the eyes. Because of this, the site won't be updated as much (if at all) since we're working about 10 hours a day trying to get everything done. We appreciate your patience while we get everything finished and promise it will be worth the wait!

February 22, 2005: We've added a new section to the site called Join Us and we're looking for volunteers to help with the site and our overall message of being fat-positive and loving ourselves. If you're interested in helping out, please check out the Join Us page and let us know what you'd like to do.

February 21, 2005: There's so much news to report we're not sure where to start. First of all, Carol is married with a beautiful baby girl and another baby due in September. She and her husband are stationed on a Navy base in Japan and are due back in the States sometime in 2008. As you can see, the website is back up and running although we still have a few kinks to iron out. If you see any errors, please Contact Us and let us know!

June 18, 2003: Yes, it's true, we've designed official Fat Girls Rule! Merchandise and now we're selling it to you. There are currently 6 items but that number will increase as we come up with more creative ways to get you to spend your money! *grin*

May 18, 2003: Well, it's time to make the official announcement - Carol (a.k.a. "Fatty") is moving to Japan on June 8, 2003. She's accepted a job on a Navy base not far from Tokyo and will be there for five years. As a result, she'll be offline for approximately a month until she gets settled in, so any "Dear Fatty" messages will have to wait unless you'd like Bertha to take a shot at answering them. May 11, 2003: Fatty and Bertha made their annual journey to Graceland before Fatty leaves for Japan. Check out the Photos!

March 21, 2003: The front page has a new look (that flash movie was just too big and it was giving Bertha nightmares!). We also now have this News page as well as a Mailbag.

March 15, 2003: The "How Much Of A Fat Girl Are You?" quiz was modified today. The original quiz had some unflattering remarks regarding anorexia (we honestly didn't think anyone would actually score that low). Being a site that wants to promote healthy and positive body image, we opted to change the quiz. To anyone we may have offended, please accept our sincerest apologies.

February 27, 2003: The website redesign is completed! We've got a lot more information, an updated quiz and more. Please contact us with your feedback!
