Got a couple of hundred million dollars lying around doing nothing? The
Associated Press reported that Spelling Entertainment may be up for sale.
Buy it, and you can prolong the life of "Melrose Place."
If you have any money left, Sotheby's is having an auction of MP props and art. Among items available are a replica of the Shooters bar with the actual prop bottles ($5,000/$10.000), the rubber prop shovel Jane clocked Richard with ($400/$600), the rubber prop brick that Jane tossed through Alison's window ($250/$350) and Sam's grandmother's antique Egyptian brooch that Jane poked Richard with to make sure he was dead ($700/$900). Courtney Thorne-Smith and Kristin Davis were featured in the November Glamour. They didn't have anything to say about the show. They talked about their makeovers. CTS cut her hair despite protests from the producers of "Ally McBeal." And Kristin said she's wearing a lot less makeup. The November Cosmopolitan ran a nice bio on Josie Bissett. Read about how Rob Estes shaved his head right before their wedding and the 5 things she's learned playing Jane. Soap Opera Update interviewed Scott Plank and John Haymes Newton. Plank talked about his new show, "Air America," and his experience working on "Melrose." Newton talked about walking out on "Superboy." In the same issue was a story about Heather Locklear filling in for Newt Gingrich at a Republican fundraiser. Maybe she can fill in as Speaker of the House now that Newt has resigned. And finally, SOU had a couple of casual pictures of Jack Wagner and Jamie Luner. Be sure to watch Heather Locklear on "Celebrity Profile." Among the people who talk about Heather are hubby Richie Sambora, co-stars Jack Wagner and William Shatner, and boss Aaron Spelling. E!, November 11th, 8:00PM ET/PT and repeated November 15th, 6:00PM ET/PT. Heather will also be hosting "Muppets Tonight." Disney, November 15, 7:30PM ET/PT. And let's not forget the shows our former heroines are now regulars on. Courtney Thorne-Smith in the hilarious "Ally McBeal." FOX, Mondays, 9:00PM ET/PT. Alyssa Milano in that babefest, "Charmed." WB, Wednesdays, 9:00PM ET/PT. And Brooke Langton in that stinker, "The Net." USA, Sundays, 11:00PM ET/PT and again on Saturdays, 9:00PM ET/PT.
