OK, this episode opens with Peter visiting Kimberly with a "birthday"
present of a new dress and a motion-sensor-bracelet as celebration of her
release. Stipulations of the release are that she lives and works for
Peter, must wear bracelet at all times, does outpatient treatment daily,
and can go nowhere except those 3 places. Bracelet is big and black and
looks like something out of a Honeycomb cereal box.
Amanda is surprised to discover the contractors are quitting their work
before restoration of the apt. complex is complete due to lack of
payment. Sydney overhears the conversation and tells Peter.
Allison receives flowers from Hayley (Brooke's father) with half the
complex residents as witnesses to this sick display of affection (Brooke
included).
Matt is countersued by Dr. Hobbs for defamation of character and storms
into Tom's (Gay/Lesbian Alliance lawyer) office. They decide to go for a
settlement.
At a D & D meeting, Billy and Allison show that being in the ad business
for 2 seasons has paid off as they dazzle Amanda with all their
accomplishments from the past week. Brooke, feeling threatened, makes up
some bullshit about landing her father's account, Armstrong Ltd.
OHMYGOD! Jo discovers that Jane and Richard's engagement party to
celebrate their upcoming marriage is based on a lie - duh. Jane
confesses to Jo that she doesn't love Richard, but that they will both
"profit" from said marriage.
Amanda, husband Jack, and their lawyers meet to discuss a divorce. Jack
counters by saying her faked death is "fraud". Jack agrees to divorce,
but later tells his lawyer it's the last thing he wants. Jack decides to
stay in California.
At deposition, Dr. Bigot Hobbs starts ranting about "faggots" and,
therefore, loses both his job and his case. Matt is awarded his choice
of either obtaining his old job or $50,000 dollars with no further
mention of this case. Matt needs time to think about it.
Brooke admits to Allison that she jumped the gun at the meeting at that
she needs Allison's help to obtain "daddy's" account. Since he and
Allison appear to be so cozy, Brooke asks if she and Allison can "bury
the hatchet" to which Allison replies "you'd have to take it out of my
back, first" and turns Brooke down.
Peter offers Amanda a loan to pay off the apartment contractors. Amanda
turns him down, but Jack overhears the conversation and settles the
matter with an anonymous cashier's check to the contractors.
Shelley (Jess's ex-wife) antagonizes Jo at Shooters. Whoop-de-doo...
Kim is making dinner in Peter's kitchen, all decked out in her new dress
and non-matching secret-decoder bracelet. She asks Peter when she can
"repay" him for all he's done, and he turns her down. As Peter goes to
take the quickest shower in prime-time history, Sydney appears and is
shocked to see Kimberly. Syd hurls a few verbal insults and takes off.
Kimberly, taken aback, tells Peter that she (Kim) really is a "freak" and
seeks solace on his 30-second-showered shoulder.
Sydney tells Michael about Kimberly's release and living situation.
Peter walks in, confirms it, and tells Syd to take care of Kimberly's
file as he throws the phone-book-sized file in her direction. Naturally,
Sydney files it under "bedtime reading" and reads it.
At yet another D & D meeting, Brooke admits that there is a delay in
obtaining the Armstrong Ltd. account. Just as Billy starts to get ugly
with her about it, Hayley shows up and asks Allison to be the rep who
helps him, despite Brooke's protests of "daddy - wait!". Later, at Jane
and Richard's engagement party, Amanda toasts both Allison and Brooke for
obtaining the Armstrong account. Billy offers to help Allison, but she
politely turns him down and leaves, saying she must start work on the
account immediately. As Brooke pouts, both Amanda and Billy give her
some much-needed verbal reprimanding.
Jo must overhear all this and feel the need to celebrate as the next shot
is of her very-much drunk on champagne. Jo confronts Jane, to which Jane
replies "I'm so afraid of turning out like you, Jo" as explanation of her
non-loving union with Richard. Jo tells Richard that Jane doesn't love
him, Richard confronts Jane (who is wearing one of the most hideous
outfits in Aaron Spelling history - looks like something Claire from
90210 would wear) and tells her he "can't wait" when she fails to be able
to look him in the eye and tell him she loves him.
Amanda takes Billy to bank to show him her safe deposit box, which
contains polaroids of her after being beaten by Jack during their
marriage. She gives Billy a key to the box and asks that, if "anything
should happen to her", that he make sure the pictures get to the police.
Sydney and Michael collaborate once again and discover that the reason
Kim was released was that "Henry" left her memory. Since the two of them
have nothing better to do, they pull out the artist's rendering of Henry
and decide to find a Hollywood actor-wannabe to portray Henry, thus
returning him to Kimberly's memory.
Billy and Allison are working late when a call comes in that Hayley is
waiting for Allison. Billy confronts her and accuses her of being part
of some anti-Brooke conspiracy. She denies it, telling him that even if
Billy wanted to join said conspiracy that there wouldn't be any room for
him on the "grassy knoll" since Brooke has made so many enemies as of
late. Hayley then shows up, gets Allison, snubs his daughter and
leaves. As we get the honor of listening to Brooke whine for the
millionth time this season, Billy grows a spine and tells Brooke to drop
it. He tells her that he "got Allison out of his life" and now it was
time for Brooke to get "Hayley out of hers". Brooke pouts as only
Kristen Davis can do.
At Amanda's newly renovated apartment, Jack shows up and tells her the
money he paid the contractors was his "divorce gift" to her. As he
rounds the corner into her kitchen, thus trapping her in a corner, he
tells her that he wants his "thank you". Amanda gropes around on the
counter for a knife as she tells him to "get out". Jack sees the knife,
takes it from her, only to return it to her as he tells her it's "not
over" and leaves.
It's "about seduction" as Jake seduces Jo, Hayley
seduces Allison (as perverse Brooke watches on) and Shelley seduces
Jake. According to the announcer, one of these seductions works, and we
have to wait until next week to find out which one.
