Extra Extras

Some people just walked through the background once, collected a check, and went home. But not these people. These "extra" characters often had more screen-time than the regular castmembers and all were seen for most (if not all) of the seven seasons.
  • Pool Boy - not the guy who showed up for all of one scene to have sex with Kimberly, but the guy who silently cleaned the pool for 7 years.

  • Leafblower Man - could be Pool Boy in disguise, who knows. Same concept except this guy walks around silently with his leafblower.

  • Jogging Girl With Dog - one of the silent neighbors. She has long blonde hair and a big dog and they jog by the front of the apartment complex every morning.

  • Nurse Amy - she actually got lines and some character development in the last season. But she was on the show for several years as a no-name one-liner Wilshire Memorial nurse.

  • Mario - works for Kyle in the restaurant of "Kyle's". Very loyal and reliable -- will drop everything at a moment's notice to help Kyle's business. Hardly ever speaks.

Miscellaneous Nicknames And Definitions

  • Melrosetta Stone - Matt's journal that surfaced after his death in Season 7.

  • Melrose Mints - How we here at Melrose Space refer to our calcium-enriched Tums which are required to get through some of the cheesier Melrose Place scenes.

  • Lawnmower Hair - The horrendous Season 4 haircuts of Jane, Jake and Matt that look like they were done by a blind man using a weed wacker.

  • "Closing Escrow", "Decorating The Tree", "Getting Sexed Up" - Creative ways of saying "having sex". All were modified from Melrose Place quotes.

  • D&D Nicknames - Over the years, we came up with several different ways to refer to D&D Advertising. Here's a complete list of all of them:

Dyejob & Dangerous, Desperate & Drunk, Dyslexic & Dsyelcix, Distraught & Dillusional, Dorkboy & Dogbreath, Death & Duncecap, Down & Dirty, Dimwit & Difficult, Dipstick & Dribble, Divorcees & Drunks, Dumb & Dead, Dark Roots & Drowning Victims, Dungeons & Dragonladies, Delayed & Deranged, Dopey & Delirious, Divas & Degenerates, Disgruntled & Dishing, Desperate & Dumbass, Dissed & Departing, Dungeons & Dragonladies, D&D: Demented & Deluded, Dumb & Dumber, Dopey & Dorky
